Employers often need to transfer their domestic employees
to a foreign subsidiary/affiliate abroad, and as such, need
guidance as to how to obtain the appropriate work permit,
entry visas, and residence permits for their expatriate employees
and their families. Each country has a different set of rules,
requirements, and procedures for allowing individuals to live
and work.
Before relocating an employee to another country, it is very
important for your company to assess and understand the rules
and requirements for obtaining permission for your employee
to live, work, and comply with the immigration laws particular
to the country of relocation.
Employers are often surprised and frustrated with the rigorous
immigration requirements and lengthy processing times of other
countries, which is why it is important for employers to obtain
all the necessary information up front, before foreign assignments
are confirmed. Realistic expectations need to be set for your
employee, the foreign entity, and any clients that may be
relying on the foreign employee to begin their overseas employment
Because a country's immigration laws and application procedures
can be fairly complex, Zulkie Partners can assist employers
by providing a detailed process overview in securing your
employee's foreign work authorization, as well as facilitate
the procurement of the foreign work permit, entry visa, and
in some cases, residence permit.
