It may be a cliché, but America truly is a country of immigrants. Well organized anti-immigrant forces, along with their Congressional allies, are working tirelessly to slash legal immigration to the United States. We urge our clients and friends to educate themselves on these proposals as they are made, and to let Congress know that anti-immigrant sentiments are unacceptable. Don't prevent American businesses from obtaining needed skills! The United States allows U.S. employers to bring a very limited number of highly specialized and skilled workers to the U.S. to fill jobs for which U.S. citizens are not available. This modest immigration meets the needs of U.S. businesses and allows U.S. companies to remain competitive in the global marketplace. Such immigration fuels American prosperity.

Don't prevent American families from reuniting! Family immigration has been the cornerstone of our nation's immigration policy for decades. The lawful and orderly immigration of spouses, children, parents and siblings of U.S. citizens should not be diminished. Lawful permanent residents of the United States should be able to reunite with their spouses and children as well. American society and American families are strengthened by this rational immigration policy.
