Pamela (Pam) Rangel

“It brings me immense joy to help U.S. companies navigate the increasingly complex immigration system to attract and retain the best people possible.”
About Pam
Immigration has played a significant role in Pam’s family history – both her parents immigrated from Guatemala at relatively young ages (her father at 18 and her mother at 19) and have built their lives in the U.S. Because of her family history, immigration law was a natural choice for Pam as she wanted to support other foreign nationals who also sought better lives as they established themselves in the U.S. Pam has been working in immigration law since 2017, first as a law clerk (paralegal) with a small boutique firm in Chicago and now as an Associate Attorney with Zulkie Partners.
Pam’s practice focuses on navigating clients through complex immigration issues and includes the filing of all nonimmigrant and immigrant visa applications. In her practice, she has built up a specialty working with and managing the immigration programs for large corporate clients and works closely with them to assess immediate legal needs. Pam advises companies regarding employee hiring and I-9 compliance, immigration policy, and government inspections.
Her most memorable moment as an immigration lawyer was having her first I-192 waiver of inadmissibility approved for a brilliant cancer researcher to continue his groundbreaking work on immunotherapies and molecular targeted strategies to treat leukemia and solid tumors.
Pam is currently a volunteer for PAWS Chicago (and former member of the Young Professionals Board), a leading animal welfare organization dedicated to rehabilitating and ending the killing of homeless pets in Chicago.
