Business Immigration Law Services

We offer a wide variety of services in the corporate immigration context.

If the service you are looking for is not listed below, send our team a message.

The global economy depends on the movement of resources across borders. We advise clients on when and if B-1/2 visas are needed, provide guidance on the transition of your F-1 student employees to nonimmigrant visas, and help you move talent to the United States by obtaining visas for foreign hires. Some of those visas include:

  • E-1/2 (treaty traders/investors);
  • E-3 (Australians in specialty occupations);
  • H-1B (individuals in specialty occupations);
  • H-1B1 (Chilean and Singaporeans in specialty occupations);
  • J-1 (exchange visitors – professors, research assistants, trainees, etc.);
  • L-1 A/B (intra-company transferees);
  • O-1 A/B (persons of extraordinary ability); and
  • TN (certain Canadian and Mexican professionals).

We handle a broad array of cases spanning a variety of industries (see our Industries pages for more detail). We stay abreast of the ever-evolving policy changes that affect your foreign national population and ensure your immigration needs, whether large or small, are met.

In our global economy, attracting and keeping talent can be difficult. By helping your employees obtain permanent residence (green cards), we help you keep your best talent.

The process by which an employee gains permanent residence can be varied and complex. Our team is experienced in the employment-based green card categories (EB-1 priority workers, EB-2 advanced degree professionals, and EB-3 professional, skilled and unskilled workers). We work with you to ensure the fastest route to a green card, through any of the below processes:

  • PERM labor certification;
  • EB-1 extraordinary ability;
  • EB-1 outstanding professor;
  • EB-1 multinational manager or researcher;
  • EB-2 advance degree;
  • EB-2 exceptional ability;
  • EB-2 national interest waiver;
  • EB-3 professional, skilled or unskilled worker;

We handle both adjustment of status applications and consular processing petitions. We can also assist individual U.S. citizens and permanent residents in sponsoring family members for permanent residence.

For many of your employees, the path to the United States does not end at permanent residency. We advise and prepare naturalization applications for employees who wish to obtain citizenship. In addition, we assist in obtaining Re-entry Permits for those foreign nationals that may be absent from the U.S. for extended periods of time.

Immigration enforcement efforts are on the rise. In this environment of increased scrutiny, one of the most common pitfalls for employers is failing to maintain proper I-9 records.  This failure can result in heavy financial penalties to employers.

Our team is experienced in Form I-9 compliance and can assist you in a range of different services including:

  • The development of a corporate I-9 policy;
  • Internal audits; and
  • Correction of errors.

In today’s restrictionist environment, it is essential that employers comply with the rules and regulations that govern employment of foreign-born workers. Federal enforcement efforts are on the rise and the failure to comply with these rules and regulations can result in hefty civil penalties.

Our team is experienced in conducting audits of your business to ensure compliance with areas such as Labor Condition Applications, H-1B programs, and other visa requirements.

Through the use of LawLogix – an immigration case management software – we maintain an online database that allows our clients to interactively manage their foreign national population. The database allows our clients and their employees to track their individual cases, create reports that provide big picture summaries of status-holders, and store sensitive information in a secure online portal.

The database is both user friendly and easily adapted to fit your particular needs. Let us take out the stress of maintaining internal records for many immigration needs.
