The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced last week that they would be selecting additional registrants to apply for an H-1B in order to meet the 85,000 available visas this year. Over the weekend, USCIS randomly selected additional registrants to apply. All individuals who were registered in the spring but not selected in the first round were entered into this second draw.

Employers whose registrations were selected in this second draw have been notified through their MyUSCIS accounts. USCIS stated on its website that it selected 77,600 registrations in the second selection for the FY2024 H-1B cap.
